The Umbele Wolwazi Education Trust  is a registered public trust.

1. Reg. No:  IT1549/2005/PMB) with PBO (Public Benefit Organisation)
2. NPO (Non Profit Organisation) status (050-196NPO). 

The UWET facilitates the provision of educational and skills-based resources and activities in order to empower our society so as to maximize the benefits of the democracy that we have achieved. 
In order to achieve its objectives, the Trust engages in programmes that complement the objectives and goals as set out in the constitution of the Trust Deed.

KZN12:  Cutting Edge Learning, the provincial educational publication, has been adopted as a programme by the UWET. The publishing process, as well as all operational management, is the responsibility of KraftMedia Publishers, the conceptualisers of this publication. All other facets of management is the responsibility of the Trust.
